I know no #java and yet til
, #JVM options primarily configure the runtime environment of the Java Virtual Machine, while Java arguments provide input directly to the application's logic.
Not sure if it's right though
Maybe but its not relevent to my problem here
I needed #jdk headless and not jdk , also #languagetool is a paid api
My tool works though
any quick tip #emacs #nix folks?

People who self-host #LanguageTool in containers, which container image do you use?

More specifically, which one are you comfortable using and find trustworthy, considering you may be sending everything you type in any context to whatever is running in that image?

I know of at least four options, but there may be others:

@libreoffice

Many users to not see functions indeed. The space bar example seems crazy to some, but I have seen it too. In the long run an intelligent agent might do the trick. Or a grammar and style check. #LanguageTool does this for space between paragraphs (it suggests to use styles).

BTW, I Iike that you mention YouTube for those in the Fediverse who cannot access peertube. 🙃 This is brilliant.

Hey @XOrgFoundation and fedi in general, I wanted to know your opinion. How possible do you think, would it be to take the code from #languagetool and build an OS level spell checker out of it? Just so that my mom doesn't have to learn about #selfhosting if she wants a current gen spell checker.

I have a recommendation for those who use #languagetool in the locally. I often get many error messages. I discovered #Eloquent (https://github.com/sonnyp/Eloquent/) which works quite nicely and hooks easily into KMail and LibreOffice and even Firefox.

This application is based on languagetool but it seems that it manages everything very efficiently. It's easy to install and easy to run.

I use it through the app #Eloquent and off course offline 🤓

I would love if @Tuba had the option of consuming the #LanguageTool server. It would be an amazing combo to use Eloquent, @sonny's new app with the Tuba.

In fact, I would like more apps to do something like it would be amazing.
