Der Vorsitzende des Handelsausschusses im Europaparlament, Bernd Lange (SPD), hat eine Verabschiedung des geplanten Zollabkommens mit den USA von verbindlichen Zusagen aus Washington abhängig gemacht, dass die vereinbarten Zollsätze nicht überschritten werden. Lange sagte dem "Spiegel", man werde am Montag darüber sprechen, ob es nach den neuen Entwicklungen noch möglich sei, wie geplant über die Reduzierung der Zölle für US-Produkte abzustimmen.
