Duncan AstburyLego Landrover Defender build, progress stages 14 and 15 of 15. COMPLETED! Final stages can vary a bit depending on the chosen configuration. Side bars under door cills put on. Snorkel (i.e. raised air intake for engine) fitted. Winch and bull bars on front bumper. Fuel cans, tool box and high-lift jack on roof rack.

Lego Landrover Defender build, progress stages 12 and 13 of 15. So many pieces in the roof rack that it was two packs of parts, simple to put together though. There was also a little ladder for the rear and a few extra driving lights.
Lego Landrover Defender build, progress stage 11 of 15. Engines. Yes, it's a plural because there are a couple of options to choose from, a V8 petrol and a turbo diesel. I opted to go with the V8 engine. There are also a couple of options for the bonnet, the expedition look has the extra spare wheel (not ideal for visibility in real life).
Lego Landrover Defender build, progress stage 10 of 15. Lots of progress here, rear axle with suspension, front axle with working steering rack and suspension. Landy now sitting the right way up and resting on wheels. The steering wheel can be turned to turn the wheels and just like on a real Landrover there is lots of slack and play in the linkages.
