There is something _very_ unusual in the accompanying photo, and once you realize there's a #submarine floating in the channel leading directly to #LakeMichigan, some hundreds of yards away, you might not be aware that it's actually a #maritime #museum that hosts tours throughout the year.

The #USS #Silversides (SS-236): is a Gato-Class #WorldWar II submarine that is restored to its original running specs and is ready for visitors.
