The first of two #winter #storm systems continues to push through the region, keeping #temperatures #cool and #winds strong off #LakeSuperior.
Most of us are seeing #snow, but some #sleet and #freezing #rain is falling south of Highway 2.
NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR APRIL 2, 2026:
A strong #storm system will bring #snow #showers into the #Northland Wednesday night, along with strong #winds off #LakeSuperior.
Thursday will see all snow showers in northeast #Minnesota, with #sleet and #freezingrain mixing in with the snow over northwest #Wisconsin and the #UpperPeninsula.
#Temperatures hold steady in the 20s and 30s throughout.

Must like the past few days, it is a #warmer #spring day away from the influence of the #breeze coming off #LakeSuperior.
It is #dry, but a messy quick #storm system will bring mixed #precipitation tonight and Tuesday morning.
NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR MARCH 30, 2026:
The #Northland will be #dry Sunday night with a mix of stars and #clouds and light #winds. Low #temperatures will be #mild in the 20s and low 30s.
Monday will see a few #snow #showers near the Canadian border as a #breeze develops. Highs will range from the 30s and 40s near #LakeSuperior, to the 50s and 60s further inland.

The CBC's Matt Fratpietro stopped by the Thunder Bay Museum this week to take a peek at its new exhibit, "Small Scale: Tall Tale," which features a collection of model ships ranging from canoes to tug boats. Through these small but detailed displays, the exhibit explores Lake Superior's rich maritime history.

Realizing that even now, that shoreline still sounds like home to me.
