VelkroJet Star 2 at Lagoon was my first "big boy" coaster when I was growing up. It wasn't the biggest or fastest, but I always had to ride it when I went to the park because it was fun and packed quite a punch. It was one of my favorite rides. Today was Jet Star's last day of operation. I will miss it. 😭
I just got home from work and saw this post from Lagoon. Jet Star 2 will be closing at the end of Lagoon's 2025 season. I am heart broken over this news. Jet Star 2 has been a favorite of mine for almost 35 years and one of the rides I always had to do when I went to the park. I will miss it.

I've seen pictures that have circulated that make this almost certainly a S&S Screaming Swing.
This is still a park I really want to get to. I wish the west coast was closer 😂
Looks like Lagoon will announce their 2026 ride next Friday, October 10th at 5:00pm. The announcement will take place between Wild Mouse and Fire Dragon. Treats will be served until they run out.
