I'm glad I stumbled upon this article about a tiny island in #Micronesia - part of the Marshall Islands which were occupied by #japan. During #WWII they were invaded, occupied and administrated by the USA.
Once nicknamed "Execution Island", it hosted trials (and an execution) for war crimes. And that's just a drop in the bucket for the islands, which are still occupied by the US military as a missile defence site to this day.
