This fantasy landscape had some "happy accidents", like the purple when I had the wrong color on my brush and a cauliflower which I covered up with the family of mystery creatures. It bothered me a bit at first, but in the end it is quite nice to just work with what happens.

Fantasy landscape practice today. This is the only one out of three that turned out nice. But I did learn a few things making mistakes. Like let the sky dry really well before you try putting in a house at the horizon, or it will end up looking like a fluffy guinea pig.

Jag använde bland annat vinsten till akvarellerfärger från #kuretake . Dels en med vårfärger och dels deras sumo-linje vilket är mörka färger. Har velat ha #gansaitambi länge men inte kunnat motivera ett köp då jag redan har mer än 40 nyanser.

Tried out Kuretake Watercolors and not so sure I like them. I hoped they’d be more opaque than they are. Not sure if it’s these colors in the set or what. It’s been a while since I used watercolour too. Will have to play some more to see. Still it was so nice to sit outside on a cafe patio to paint.

À travers les cyprès ou ma version de "L'île aux morts" en beaucoup plus colorée et bien moins dramatique. Petite anecdote, il devait y avoir un enfant jouant sur le sable, juste à l’entrée de l’allée de cyprès, afin de représenter mon idée de la mort. Et… je l’ai oublié, perdue que j’étais dans la mise en couleur 😅. Donc, sachez-le, il y a dans cette peinture le fantôme d’un enfant espiègle qui aime jouer à cache-cache 😊.
