The real Palestinian kufiya was pushed aside, nearly forgotten.
There came a day we had to ask: do we close our doors too?
But we didn’t.
Quietly, our machines kept weaving.
And somehow, from our humble factory in Hebron,
The authentic Palestinian kufiya found its way to the world.
Today on World Kufiya Day, we honour that journey, and the people who carried it.
From city streets to mountain peaks,
in marches, concerts, and quiet acts of resistance,
The kufiya lives on the shoulders of those who choose pride over silence.
