Připojte se k nám na inspirativní, praktický večer, během kterého se dozvíte o Amazonii. Budeme promítat film "Forest Solutions", 25-30minutový dokument, který upozorňuje na to, co je v sázce - od odlesňování a požárů až po dopady na klima, srážky, biologickou rozmanitost a domorodé komunity, které prales brání.

Film bude v PT-BR s titulky v angličtině a češtině.

Také další informace a podrobnosti o kampani a o tom, co jako mezinárodní Greenpeace děláme pro ochranu amazonského pralesa a pro boj proti problémům kolem něj, zatím si můžete prohlédnout naše petiční stránky, pokud chcete - http://spolupropralesy.cz/.

PKdo bude chtít, může se po skončení filmu zapojit do vytváření kolektivní kresby vedenou podněty z dokumentu – žádné zkušenosti s kresbou nejsou potřeba, veškerý materiál je zajištěn. Dozvíte se také jasné a praktické způsoby, jak pomoci hned teď.

Akce bude probíhat v angličtině, ale pokud anglicky nemluvíte, bude k dispozici překlad do češtiny.

Join us for an inspiring, hands-on evening to learn about the Amazon. We’ll be screening the movie "Forest Solutions" a 25–30 min documentary that spotlights what’s at stake—from deforestation and fires to the impacts on climate, rainfall, biodiversity, and the Indigenous communities defending the forest.

The movie will be in PT-BR, with EN and CZ subtitles.

Also, more information and details about the campaign, and we have been doing as Greenpeace international to protect the Amazon Rainforest, and fight the problems around it, for now you can check our petition webpage if you wish - http://spolupropralesy.cz/

After the film, we’ll co-create a collective artwork guided by prompts from the documentary—no art experience needed, all materials provided. You’ll also learn clear, practical ways to help now: sign and share the petition, connect with local actions, and spread the word.

The event will be hold in English, but we can have someone translate for you if you do not speak English.

Today I will reveal where I got the idea for this drawing.
Inspiration for this piece is pollen robbery. Some insects 'steal' rewards without 'paying' for them by pollinating. Such behaviour has undoubtedly consequences on plant reproduction.

The hidden life....
(The deeper meaning of the dark depths)

We usually only see half of the tree. The other half is hidden. In the realm of darkness. However, it is just as important as the visible (above ground) part. The root system is just as big as a tree crown. And there, in the dark depths between the roots, the fascinating life of thousands of tiny creatures is buzzing. An ecosystem of bacteria, fungi, nematodes, mites, earthworms and other creatures. Millions of mini creatures and even up to 1 kilometer of fungal threads fit easily in a spoonful of soil. So small but so valuable to the trees.

The tree cannot exist without them.
And therefore an ode to the invisible second half of the tree.


Het verborgen leven....
(De diepere betekenis van de donkere diepten )

Wij zien meestal alleen de helft van de boom. De andere helft is verborgen. In het rijk der duisternis. Het is echter net zo belangrijk als het zichtbare ( bovengrondse) deel. Het wortelstelsel is net zo groot als een boomkroon. En daar, in de donkere diepten tussen de wortels, bruist het fascinerende leven van de duizenden nietige wezentjes. Een ecosysteem van bacteriën, schimmels, aaltjes, mijten, regenwormen en andere wezentjes. Met gemak passen in een lepeltje grond miljoenen miniwezentjes en zelfs tot wel 1 kilometer aan schimmeldraden. Zo klein maar zo waardevol voor de bomen.

De boom kan niet zonder hun bestaan.
En daarom een ode aan de niet zichtbare tweede helft van de boom.
