Apart from the two social democrats Molina and Atici that have already arrived, the group of Swiss MPs to visit #Taiwan will feature Nicolas Walder and Léonore Porchet of the ecologist Green party und Yves Nidegger of the SVP.
Very disappointing to see no one from the rightwing-liberal FDP or the Center take the trip. This #kowtowing towards the #CCP is undermining #democracy and #civicrights in Taiwan. And that is not something MPs from #Switzerland should do.

What is wrong with #EF as a giant in language teaching?
In it's latest English Proficiency Index for countries and regions, it lists #China, #HongKong-China and #Macao-China. It does NOT list #Taiwan, however.
#Taipei shows up only in the city ranking.

Shame on you, EF! #Kowtowing first rather than Education First. Get your report straight. And keep in mind Taiwan is seriously considering to upgrade English to become an official language in the country.
