When we were planning our trip up north, I was first planning to pay a visit to Pähkänänkallio in Kuusamo. I already knew it was a popular photo site for influencers, but I also learned that the area is a crucial nesting site for the peregrine falcon, a species endangered in Finland. Access to the area, between April the 1st and August the 15th, is now prohibited by the Finnish Forestry Board. That said, I doubt I will ever visit and disturb this place at all. Food for thought.
Instead, I decided it would be a good idea to check out Konttainen. Let's have a look at some woody details here.
