Good light today so taking a few product photos for my website. I never felt that a dedicated webshop was the right thing for me but still I'd like a nice gallery of sorts in wich to put up the pieces that are for sale.
This is one of my last largeish shrinkpots that I made a few years ago.

Delivered eight of these pots to Sörmlands museums shop the other week. Based on an old one from their collections.
I don't often paint my work yellow but I have long wanted to test this colour. A nice fiery yellow 😊

A distaff I've made for an upcoming exhibition. The pattern is built up of circles and sections of circles and I more or less started at the bottom filling the space and figured out the next segment as I went. Very nice to work with a pair of compasses and just trust it completely. The circle is law and you just need to adapt and find ways to make it fit in the given area.

Twelve years ago I started to make these eight sided shrinkpots for the museum shop of Sörmlands museum. The design is more or less a copy of an old one from the museums collections and I truly love the raw simplicity of the square pattern.
Working on a new batch that will hopefully be ready during the summer.

This is the smallest pot I've made for a long time and I did not fully realise how specific my usual method is for a certain minimum size of pot. Had to a adapt and rethink a whole lot of stuff to make the work go smoothly. Quite a healthy experience I believe.

Here is a small shrinkpot that I made two years ago during the Teknikfördjupning (technique deepdive) course at Sätergläntan. I chose to delve into different ways of creating cut through decors, and this shrinkpot was the end result😀

A shrinkpot is basically a hollowed section of a log that has shrunk while drying around a bottom piece, creating a hopefully watertight seal without the nead of any adhesives.

I'll try to share a bit more about how the different cut through techniques are made and the pros and cons of the different types at a later date. Just have to buy a new saw first🙃
