At least Reolink keeps all their ads in a tab you don’t have to look at…
#Konnected has GDO blaq that works with the Chamvrlain, I have one hooked up in HomeAssistant. I have not tried HomeKit integration - it doesn’t natively support it.

One thing that's really fun about setting up home automations is just how many edge cases you don't think about. I decided to sync the lights in our garage to the light on the garage door opener (cuz I have a lil puck that connects to the power/serial port on the opener so I can track it, it's great
) so the lights turn on whenever someone pulls in and automatically turn off after a bit. That said, I forgot the opener light flashes when an error happens. One of our dogs got out and walked in front of the door sensor while it was closing and the room turned into a heckin' rave.
big fat fuck you to Chamberlain
MyQ is the worst thing since BMW tried to charge a subscription for heated seats. I have a Konnected puck sitting on the opener now so at least I get the integration I actually want, but I can't banish the MyQ setup entirely since people use it.
I haaaate you MyQ
I've been planning to switch my alarm system from Ring to Konnected + Home Assistant and now I have a real reason: Ring wants to DOUBLE the cost of professional monitoring - and there's no other option for monitoring if you use their devices. You have to choose Ring or switch systems. Buh bye, Ring.
@baldwinjed I've been using #homeassistant for about 5 years. Primarily for monitoring the alarm system sensors with #konnected, controlling the #ecobee HVAC, and a bunch of TP-link wifi smart plugs.
Example of an automation I setup is to turn on the lights in the back yard if I open the back door after sunset.
@oh_that_courtney I ripped out a brinks alarm unit (subscriptions, yuck) and replaced it with a konnected system. That lead me to Home Assistant. Still trying to figure out how to get the alarm to work, hah. And to learn what else I can do with the application.
