Kombucha success!
I made homemade kombucha and bottled up 6 bottles of the brew. Added some unsweetened pure cranberry juice and I have a wonderful beverage.

The key was to filter it through a fine mesh screen, layered with double layers of cheesecloth.

Smooth and fizzy with z cranberry tang!

Making 2nd batch of Kombucha...the first one failed due to the temp bring too low. The purchase of a fermentation heater solved that problem. Waiting for temp to drop in order to add the scoby. #vegan #kombucha #kombuchabrewing #kombuchagirl
About a week ago, I embarked on a new adventure in #KombuchaBrewing. I started drinking kombucha about a year ago for its gut health benefits. Out of a combination of science nerdery and ridiculous prices if you buy it, I decided to give #HomeBrewing a shot. I ordered a kit and got to work. Today was the day I bottled the first batch for secondary fermentation. I went with 4x raspberry (the reds and oranges), 2x blueberry (the yellowish brown) and 1x natural (bright yellow).

This is your random reminder to burp your (homemade) kombucha bottles.
