Threat to the Ukrainian #Carpathians : the Bruno Manser Fonds has published a report revealing that the Ukrainian primeval forest of #Svydovets has begun to be logged to transform it into a ski resort with over 230 kilometers of slopes, almost 400 apartments, 120 restaurants and 60 hotels. The project is financed by companies linked to Ukrainian oligarchs Igor #Kolomoisky and Gennadiy #Bogolyubov . Both are accused of fraud and money laundering. In particular, the NGO is calling on Switzerland to continue its investigation into Kolomoisky's activities and freeze his assets.
