If you're ever in Nara, Japan - try "Shabu Shabu Ratsuku". It's a little hole in the wall & for $21.78, you get an unbelievable Kobe beef lunch.
Pon no Michi, the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things ( Mahjong ) anime that barely has Mahjong playing in it. This week's episode was mostly barbecue 
Hida Beef is amazing, by the way. Their highest A5 beef wins way more competitions than Kobe Beef. I had Hida Beef in Hida, and Kobe Beef in Kobe, and IMO Hida wins by a lot. I had it in one of those butcher shops w/ a restaurant upstairs.

If you order a box of frozen Kobe beef croquettes from Asahiya, a family-run butcher shop in Takasago City in western Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture, it’ll take another 30 years before you receive your order.
What are the chances that they’ll still be shipping these orders in 30+ years, or that they’ll still be able to find your current address by then? Would you even remember that you had placed this order?
