This summer, like every summer since I started knitting, I participated in my work's Knots of Love drive (fedi furries, i know what it sounds like, hush).

Every year we collect handmade hats and NICU baby blankets and mail them in for distribution to hospitals all over the US, for chemo patients who are losing their hair to be able to cover up with something soft and made with love. Some years I do a lot, some years I do a little, this year I did four!

Ok #knitters #crocheters and other doers of good deeds. #knotsoflove is both a great US charity and a great resource for free patterns for NICU and chemo and homeless hats. If you want to donate directly, be sure to follow their directions about yarn usage and washing/bagging. Anyone have other good resources to share? It’s coming on winter… plus it’s a good way to use up #fallfinishalong scraps! @knitting @crochet
