#knitiverse #fediverse : I have this piece of knitted lace given me a couple decades ago, from someone who had had it for probably many decades before *that*. It is in a rather fine crochet cotton.

And, while I would love for it to be repaired, I know it is just so old it will be merely a temporary fix. But does anyone know where I might find a #lace #knitting pattern similar to this? the kind of over-sized doily / anti-macassar which are mostly useless but very pretty.

Okay #knitiverse: What is the *best* way to get great photos of a knitted object? we're talking a need for photos suitable for a book, or magazine. Diy photography (with something better than a smartphone), placing a Craig's List gig offer for someone else, or trying to find a professional to do the shoot? Other methods? completely at a loss here.
