Since Banjo Kazooie is one of my favorite games, I was overjoyed when Yooka Laylee was originally announced, but I lost interest pretty early. It didnt have the same magic, even with the original devs returning and Kirkhope and Wise composing the score. I'm really enjoying the remastered/reimagined Yooka Replayee. The difficulty has been tuned down and all of your moves are given to you at the beginning so it feels less like a progression, which is unfortunate. But purchasing your moves instead of u locking them wasn't all that satisfying anyways imo. So it's a decent trade off. The levels feel a lot less empty and there's so much to do. And it's a collectathon so I don't mind it not being super challenging. Part of what I loved about BK was the focused and dense level design. So I'm having a great time. It's not quite as good as Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Astrobot, but not everything can be 😂
