I love this distinctive building on Seaward Street on the Southside of Glasgow. It's one of the few remaining buildings in the city with a cast iron facade, and the only one I know of outwith the city centre.

The former Ogg Brothers Department Store at Paisley Road Toll was designed by Bruce and Hay, and was built in the 1880s. It's topped by the Spirit of Commerce and Industry, who is perhaps better known as the Kinning Park Angel, the Angel of the South, or simply Mrs. Ogg.

I came across this in the Kinning Park area of Glasgow yesterday. I don't know if it's modern art, a statement of intent, or just a warning to any would-be uninvited visitors. Either way, it's definitely one for the Keep Glasgow Weird file!
