To understand the #GOP and the #MAGA phenomenon, keep in mind that so many folks backing that side have trouble understanding other perspectives, instead projecting their own viewpoint onto others, assuming everyone else is just like them.

It's a big problem that folks can't seek consensus when they start with different sets of facts, and this is one of the major sources of that.

While @mfrazer06 and I were going over the timeline of the Great Depression (to gauge where we might be by comparison) I learned that many large cities in the #USA built municipal lodging houses for the #homeless. We need to do this again. Stabilize rather than criminalize (or worse, euthanize them as #Kilmeade suggests) people and it'll be more cost effective than the piecemeal approach taken now and be better for all of us. 🏘️😃👍
