We had another one of our three-player games of Kill Team today! I played my Wyrmblade, we also had the Battleclade and a proxied 3D-printed army of Gellarpox Infected. We didn't end up getting through the whole game, but finished turn three and it ended up being a 7-7-1 draw between my Wyrmblade and the Battleclade. Plus we kind of went a bit silly and the Battleclade and Wyrmblade both yoloed themselves into the middle because it was pretty much going to be a bit of a stalemate otherwise.

I continue to thoroughly enjoy playing the Wyrmblade, they have so many tricks up their sleeves and are so nasty when they pop out of conceal to shoot at something. Operative of the match goes to my Kelermorph who single-handedly killed one of the giant 20-wound mutants in turn 1 in one activcation, and my Locus tore the shit out of two units in close combat also in one activation. Additionally actually remembered the "Familiar Territory" faction rule that lets me set up up to a third of my force in hiding, so I don't actually need to put them on the board and can determine at any point before the end of turn two when I want to have them pop out based on what the board is looking like and where I need some additional firepower.

This map was a bit tricky though because neither the Battleclade nor the Wyrmblade had enough speed to get across to the objectives on the other side (hence the meat grinder in the middle at the end just for the fun). The friend who was playing the Gellarpox also didn't know how to play them properly because this was his first time so there were some mistakes made with the initial positioning, and he ended up getting tabled during turn three.

Next time we're going to try doing just a 1v1 but will do the Adversary Ops mode where there are also NPOs (non-player operatives, basically NPCs) who come in and wreak havoc, and we'll have whoever isn't playing in charge of controlling them, sort of a like a DM. Should be really fun, I just need to get around to actually finishing my Tomb World terrain so we can finally play on it. 😅

Spikey Bits
I've receided my boxes from The Damned crowdfounding campaign. A total of 150 minis, for less than $1 a piece. It's been three years in the maing and since then, my projects with these have changed. I was aiming to do some #KillTeam at first, but now I am more likely to use them in #TrenchCrusade and #1490Doom ! It's less detailed than a #Victrix kit, but probably easier to paint. I might want to grab a couple of #AnvilIndustry bits for some conversions as well…

The Damned; a range of 28mm heroic multi-part hard plastic post apocalyptic sci-fi miniatures. Collect the whole army!

Fun fact, when playing #KillTeam I routinely missed the doors on the terrain pieces. They’re green so’s I won’t miss them. I painted the inside facing doors too. #WarhammerCommunity

One of the 3D printed terrain pieces did not adhere to the build plate and was unstable on the board.

Green stuff to the rescue! Once it cures I’ll paint it dark red. #3dprinting #WarhammerCommunity #KillTeam

3D printed terrain for Warhammer 40k Kill Team. It’s compatible with the Volkus Kill Zone. #KillTeam #WarhammerCommunity

The next piece of 3D printed Volkus terrain is coming along nicely. It's the top right piece.

Using Krylon is working out as a quick way for me to get them on the table. #WarhammerCommunity #KillTeam

A bit of free-handing, some edge highlights here and there and a bit of chipping and grime and it is starting to look like it fits. Needs more rust and grime before it’s done though. #minipainting #miniaturepainting #warhammer #warhammer40k #killteam
