Impromptu dungeon build!

On Friday evening I learned that some new players wanted to try out #DND this weekend so I jumped into action and pulled together a five room dungeon out of terrain and scatter I had on hand and minis I previously painted. A couple pregen characters later and we were of to the races on Sunday.

The players picked up on it well and everyone had a fun time.

On the whole very much like the system - feels pacey, interesting, and competitive in a way that feels narrative and fun. Reminds me positively of Kill Team, but the mental load is more manageable than #KillTeam is starting to be. Only complaint is, like a lot of GW games just now, there’s a bit of ‘gotcha’ cards and actions - lots of interrupting turns etc etc - but having been all up and in it with KT for so long - this one just about pulls it back from the brink and is mild by comparison.

Quickly priming matt black and then zenithal Army Painter's Hobgoblin Hue for 16 models was super fast.

Converting Lieutenant Titus into a Captain for my Kill Team

I’d had this idea swimming around for some time, ever since going to a kitbash day at Bristol Independent Gaming and acquiring the huge sword from a Sisters of Battle Paragon Warsuit . It's taken a while, but I've now got all of the base stonework done for my Tomb World terrain. 🫠 (The pieces off to the left are the fully-finished test ones I had done previously.)

The stone was definitely the largest job, theoretically it should be faster going now because there's much less left to paint in terms of surface area... various dark green bits like the archways built into some of the walls and a few other pieces, some glow effects, then it's just highlighting those various colours (including the base white of the Necron walls) to make them pop.
