Last day of classes with my 2nd year group today - making them “Sign My Sleeve” as they complete their final practical exam with me.
They were to research and design their own version of a French cuff and make it using as many #hautecouture techniques as possible < I am allowing machine sewn buttonholes >.

Some have done lovely work, some are ready to just be done with all this finessed hand sewing stuff…

Looking through paper exams. Doing my basic grading thing, which includes marking in a way that is tamper-resistant in case of after-the-fact grade modifications. Then I realized I have not seen any evidence of this for a few years. I used to reliably get maybe one student a year who would bring back a marked paper and try to claim I had counted points wrong when they had actually changed marks. Nobody does that anymore. The children have forgotten the lore of the previous generations.
