Chicago police say shots fired at federal agents during immigration protest

Chicago Police say they have responded to a call of gunshots fired at federal agents during immigration enforcement operations. Police say there is no report of anyone being hit by gunfire during the Saturday morning operation. The Department of Homeland Security says a man in a black Jeep targeted the agents. No suspect has been detained. The immigration enforcement operation took place in the largely Mexican neighborhood of Little Village. People turned out to protest the action. Some threw objects at agents’ vehicles. Tensions have been rising due to recent immigration enforcement by the Trump administration. DHS says violence and obstruction have increased during what is dubbed Operation Midway Blitz.
