I was on the bus on my way to an important business meeting about the exponential growth of my MRR, when suddenly I noticed some troublemakers were hassling an old lady. Their caps were on backwards, their clothes were baggy, and probably thought the grindset was about skateboarding. I had to act. I opened my macbook and showed Claude what was happening. “Claude, we gotta do something!”, I said. “You’re absolutely right!”, Claude affirmed in a calm and confident font, and thanks to --dangerously-skip-permissions, it had started coding before I had even thought about what to do. It was “cannoodling”, which I think is one of the good ones.

There are a very limited number of #keyboardShortcuts that are hard to learn. The OS could provide an API for apps to offer functionality to be bound by the user via the input configurator without using keyboard shortcuts. Shortcuts would just be part of the input device configuration.

Navigate and select text on web pages just like in text editors using Caret Browsing.

Caret browsing allows you to navigate through web pages with the arrow keys on keyboard similarly to Spatial Navigation. The difference is that your place on the page is shown by a visible text cursor (caret) similarly to how it’s done in text editors.

To enable Caret Browsing:

  • Go to Settings > Webpages > Caret Browsing.
  • Enable “Allow Caret Browsing”.

    • To quickly toggle the feature on and off, use the Keyboard Shortcut Shift+F7 / ⇧F7.

    When enabled, use the arrow keys to move around on the page. Hold down the Shift / ⇧ key and press the arrow keys to select text.
