my littlest cat, Wee Baby Kevin Conroy (not Sorbo) Liquorice Jellybean is in the vet's.
he has a fever of 105. they think it's sterile hemorrhagic cystitis and a tapeworm.
he's been lethargic since sunday and was limp this morning.
they're giving him treatment, fluids, antibiotics, anti nausea, pain relief, and tapeworm treatment.
did urinalysis and the results of a urine culture will be back some time between Sunday and next Thursday.
he's only a year and a half so they think a UTI is unlikely.
he's our littlest guy (we have 7 cats and the cat closest to his age by a month is 3x his size) and we love him very much and everyone is very worried. cat's aren't supposed to even get to 105 fevers
if the treatment doesn't work we're going to have to get xrays as well, and if he doesn't eat at home we're gonna have to get a special appetite stimulant too.
he's our little guy :(
we have to treat all 7 cats for tapeworm and get more flea meds but thankfully the tapeworm medicine is cheap, and the better flea meds cost the same as the ones we usually use on chewy
