In the 19th century the Westerwald produced millions of wheel thrown, saltglazed minneralwater bottles for the German market and jenever bottles for the jenever distilleries in the Netherlands.
This bottle shelve can be seen at the wonderfull Keramikmuseum Westerwald in Höhr-Grenzhausen.
