This Is My GlasgowThe remains of the original Queen Margaret Bridge over the River Kelvin in Glasgow. This cast iron bridge was built in 1870 by John Ewing Walker to provide access to the new neighbourhood of Kelvinside which he was developing. It was replaced by the new Queen Margaret Bridge (on what is now Queen Margaret Drive) in the 1920s and much of it was demolished in the 1970s, leaving just the stone piers on which it rested.
