If ever an inanimate electronic object could bring about both angst and joy, it is this one. Garmin Epix pro 2 with the dreaded sticky buttons. Really glad to see it charging!

What a faff the fix was! I can see why commercial repair places charge £90 just for the button component now, they don’t actually want to repair them.

I also repair Coros, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc. sports watches.

Since last week I’ve found information regarding the calibration needs of the system, and deduced that the 16.3v cal activation line isn’t being generated. Just got to find the pesky cause of it now, and then source the probably obsolete silicon to replace the bits! I do love tinkering with these.#repair #KeepitOutOfLandfill #Kool
