Pour gérer ses mots de passe on a soit des gestionnaires en ligne qui dépendent de cloud, soit les fameux #KeepassDX et #KeepassXC mais faut le synchroniser avec #Syncthing et c'est pas giga pratique
Mais y'a aussi #Pearpass qui se synchronise que avec vos appareil et sans cloud...

Offenbar geht das doch, wenn man sich traut, den Treiber im APK-Format von GitLab zu installieren:

Dann ist es recht easy: In #KeePassDX zum Öffnen der Datenbank das Password als ersten Faktor und 'YubiKey Challenge-Response' als zweiten, dabei den YubiKey hinten an die Rückseite halten. Zack, bin ich drin.
Ich hab das alles mal gemacht, ohne weiter Nachzudenken, was genau ich da tue und wie sicher das ist. Erst mal scheint das zu tun.
Tja. der erste Eindruck bei NFC ist tatsächlich ernüchternd derzeit. Die einzigen beiden Devices mit Hardwaresupport für NFC sind #Fairphone 4 mit #Android 15 ohne Google-Account.
Mit aktivem NFC und #KeePassDX kann ich eine Test-Datenbank mit Challenge-Response als zweiten Faktor nicht öffnen unter Hinweis auf einen fehlenden Treiber. Dazu gibt es wohl ein 3 Jahre altes Projekt #ykdroid in #F-Droid, welches ich auch ganz naiv testweise installiert habe. Das greift aber nicht und bei #Android bin ich sowieso schnell an der Grenze meiner Fähigkeiten und der Leidensbereitschaft.
Für den Moment geht es da wohl nicht weiter.

Migrated my Dad's setup from Proton Pass to Keepass (+ Syncthing) 👌🏽
Keepass is just so much faster and works with much less friction. He tried it and is also more happy with it. I'm always hesitant to change workflows for elderly but in this case it worked out great 👌🏽
Just now restored my mum's bookmark bar in Firefox lol (Ctrl + shift + b). She wasn't using bookmarks for months because the bar somehow was hidden and she assumed that Firefox had dropped the feature 😆😆😆😆😆
Next I'll also migrate my Mum away from Proton Pass to Keepass.
Then I can finally cancel the Proton Family nonsense 😄

As part of phone migration and general degoogling, I am wondering what to use instead of Google Authenticator for #TOTP MFA codes.
I can store them in #KeePassDX (which syncs via my self-hosted Nextcloud to my laptop and desktop) but that feels a bit eggs-in-one-basket.
Any other suggestions, firstly on how to export them sensibly from Authenticator (I assume I can scan the QR codes it generates with something other than Authenticator to extract the TOTP seeds), and secondly on what to use instead on my new #GrapheneOS phone?
