Residents of Minden, #Ontario were at Queen's Park this morning to call on the Doug Ford #Conservative government to save their local hospital & emergency room from closure.
They have a petition with 17,101 signatures - almost 95% of the local population.
Sylvia Jones, PC #Ontario Minister of Health says it will not reverse the closure.
Minden has voted PC for decades.

Minden #Ontario residents are devastated after the sudden announcement that their local hospital will permanently close its emergency department June 1, 2023.
The Minden closure will also impact paramedic services with more trips required to make the 25Km trip north to the nearest hospital.

There was absolutely no prior consultation with local elected officials.
#Conservative MPP Laurie Scott supports the closure.
