28/02/26: I attended an informational session on dry stone walling in Tramin, chatted with some like-minded people, picked up a few practical tips on dry stone walling and for building a the dry stone wall habitat.
I passed by this church on the way back.
The paving stones look a little too clean to me (no moss or green in the joints). Maybe someone used chemicals here too, as is unfortunately often the case for keeping the paving stones clean by "rounding up" or "touching down".
St. James’s Church in Kastelaz stands on the hill of the same name near Tramin. It is considered Tramin’s most famous work of art, a masterpiece from the Romanesque period. The church was first mentioned in its present form in 1214. The Romanesque fresco cycle inside is one of the oldest in the German-speaking world.
