What if we only officially named our children when they turned 1? That way, we might be able to give them more fitting names, based a little bit on how they behave.
Reading about how few manual-transmission cars are sold nowadays. The longer I live, the more I see the value in manual machinery, as I see tech fail all around me.
I was thinking about #BotW and #SSBU and its effects on my outlook of my physical life. They started me on a really good exercise streak, actually. I was more or less sedentary at the time, and it got my body up to speed.
I saw Link exploring Hyrule, and Sheik's attack animations, and realized that there was something in them I wanted which I was missing. There are lots of journal entries in my journal about this. It was rather transformative, actually.
Let's say you joke and say, IDK, "I'm playing against <such and such a character> in this videogame because I hate myself".
Do you think that you hating yourself is funny? No. (At least I don't.)
But, still you find the statement funny. (At least I do.)
So, I would say, the humor isn't in one hating oneself per se, but is in saying so over something kind of silly. Perhaps it is funny by being an overreaction.
