Like, damn, nobody is everybody's vibe, but if JONI MITCHELL can have haters like this, then I've really got no excuse for not just trying my best and putting my angry little songs out there, because FUCK… Everybody's got an opinion, and some of them are DEFINITELY wrong, so who tf cares.
(I mean my biggest hangup is that I want to be technically skilled and respected in terms of craft — you don't have to like it, just acknowledge my effort and sincerity — and it's always a self-comparison against artists like Joni who are SO MAD GENIUS ARTISTIC AND PROFICIENT so I just — freeze — but damn I guess you can be a legit skilled and talented artist and people will find reasons to hate you anyway. So…)
