Substandard NerdPreviously having seen Jo Quail play support slots several times it was a real treat to witness a full hour of her extraordinary compositions, for cello and loop pedals, and virtuoso playing at OSLO Hackney on Friday.
Also very much enjoyed guitar genius Jon Gomm's set and their collaboration pieces at the end.

Eugene Alvin Villar 🇵🇭A recent song I learned about is this more than a decade-old piece by Jon Gomm titled "Passionflower". I think this is the best ever guitar performance I have ever seen. The percussion, the dynamic tuning, and the tapped harmonics are already insanely impressive. But to be singing on top of it? Unbelievable!
