#JohnTyler doesn't get much in the way of love from historians but I would absolutely watch an HBO mini-series about the events around his presidency, specifically the ways in which he set the precedent with regards to VP's taking over the office of President.

We don't get LBJ, Truman, Teddy R or ...Andrew Johnson without Tyler and his stubborn belief that he was now *The President* rather than just Acting President.

Zwei Tage zuvor war William Henry Harrison nach nur 31 Tagen im Amt gestorben und Vizepräsident Tyler rückte auf.
