Ever since a friend of mine went to a John Cooper Clarke gig and walked out on a transphobic poem that he did I've had no time for him on when he pops up on the 6 Music.

JOHN COOPER CLARKE

The Bard Of Salford!!!!
Seeing that I didn’t grow up in the UK, I had never heard of JCC until about ten years ago.
On top of that, I didn’t know he even had a record.
How did I discover him?
By watching 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Would I Lie To You? on YouTube.
I’m like, this guy looks cool, and his poetry is rad.
It was only after crate digging one day at my local shop that I found this.
This album is killer.
This is the only one I have, but I’m hunting for a few of the others.
