Naturally, I wasn't born when AC/DC's early groundbreaking albums, like 'Let There Be Rock' or 'Back In Black', were released, so I couldn't experience them nor the atmosphere around them firsthand when they were all "new". However, for my generation, I am delighted to have Airbourne's debut album, 'Runnin' Wild', as my own 'Back In Black'. Compared to other solid AC/DC imitators, these guys have that elusive X-factor. Therefore, for me, they are the logical successors to AC/DC to receive and hold their torch to this day — and believe it or not, they actually have their own sound on top of the unbeaten AC/DC formula. When I first heard this album many years ago, I was blown away by how "perfect" and "refreshing" it sounded throughout (and still does today) – from the guitar tone to the fiery, memorable riffs – and I've been an avid fan of Airbourne ever since (I saw them live a few times and even got to meet the 'Runnin' Wild' lineup in person in Glasgow years ago)! No frills, just pure rock 'n' roll thrills!

Airbourne - 'No Guts, No Glory'. 🇦🇺🎸⚡💿 (8 March 2010)

It was quite a challenge to outdo Airbourne's stellar debut album, 'Runnin' Wild', from 2007. Nevertheless, the lads from Oz performed admirably and expectedly, presenting yet another electrifying, no-fuss rock 'n' roll experience with their sophomore album, 'No Guts, No Glory'! Each track is a relentless barrage of guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and anthemic choruses, capturing the essence of classic rock while injecting their own modern flair. From the high-octane opener to the closing tracks, this album is a rollercoaster ride of adrenaline-fueled excitement! However, I really wish they would have swapped "White Line Fever" with one of the B-side tracks, as the former is my least favourite track. Lastly, I appreciate how the cover artwork features references to the tracks featured on the album. Oh, and the inside gatefold artwork is quite the eye opener!
