El Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos (USGS) informó que se registró un terremoto de magnitud 7.6 surgió frente a la costa este de Honshu; por lo que activaron una alarma por posible tsunami en la región.

El reporte oficial precisó que el movimiento telúrico inició a las 14:15:11 UTC (08:15 horas tiempo del centro de México de este lunes) con una profundidad de 53 kilómetros y mostró una localización estable por su bajo margen de error. Las primeras mediciones confirmaron que el epicentro se ubicó a más de 70 kilómetros de zonas urbanas como Misawa, Hachinohe y Towada.

Las autoridades japonesas verificaron daños preliminares tras el fuerte sismo y concentraron equipos de emergencia en las prefecturas del norte. Las ciudades más cercanas al epicentro recibieron alertas sísmicas minutos después del movimiento, según comunicó la Agencia Meteorológica de Japón (Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA)). Los centros regionales de evaluación sísmica desplegaron inspecciones inmediatas en instalaciones estratégicas para descartar afectaciones mayores.

Los datos técnicos del USGS detallaron que el evento us6000rtdt sustituyó al reporte previo por ajustes en los parámetros registrados. El organismo señaló que la lectura integró 124 observaciones instrumentales que ajustaron la magnitud y precisión del epicentro. El registro incluyó un RMS de 0.98 segundos y un máximo gap azimutal de 34°, lo que permitió una caracterización sólida del fenómeno.

Evaluación inicial

Las autoridades de Aomori revisaron infraestructura esencial para confirmar la integridad estructural tras el sismo. Las brigadas locales realizaron verificaciones en hospitales, carreteras y puentes al norte de Japón conforme a los protocolos nacionales de emergencia. La JMA informó que las variaciones horarias entre UTC y la zona local facilitaron una rápida sincronización de alertas.

Las comunidades costeras al este de Honshu activaron planes de protección civil por su cercanía al epicentro. Los reportes municipales señalaron que residentes de Mutsu y Misawa observaron oscilaciones fuertes en viviendas y comercios sin rupturas visibles. Los equipos de seguridad mantuvieron vigilancia para detectar daños ocultos en edificaciones antiguas.

La localización exacta difundida por el USGS confirmó coordenadas 40.960N y 142.185E como punto crítico del movimiento telúrico. La profundidad intermedia redujo el riesgo de deformación superficial, de acuerdo con especialistas japoneses consultados por autoridades locales. La distancia entre estaciones sísmicas, estimada en más de 96 kilómetros, indicó una cobertura suficiente para validar el evento. –sn–

I hate it. It ruined me...

So now there are two #MinetestCTF codebases. The original #CTF by rubenwardy was forked at one point, and #JMA was created.

Now me trying to contribute to both codebases... a real nightmare. I opened a PR on JMA first:

Then I thought let's do git format-patch and create some patches to apply to main CTF using git am but no. Heck no. The files have diverged. So applying a patch is not automatic and straightforward. alright alright I can take it. Let's apply the patches manually...

Once I did, I realized I had to change something. Updating the patches for JMA then for main CTF. Okay they should be fine now. I still can do it.

Now I realized the code needs a refactor because now there are 2 mods which depend on each other and this is not allowed.

Heck no!

I do wish developers of JMA and also developer of main CTF would come to a common ground. Otherwise, I cannot contribute to both codebases like this while they have diverged so much.

So the idea is that you want someone on the enemy team to be killed. And you have enough in game currency(score) for this. You put a bounty on the target with your score. Anyone killing the target will get that score and it is substracted from your score.
