Friday Foster (Pam Grier, FOXY BROWN) is a photojournalist for a JET/EBONY type magazine. She gets caught up in an assassination attempt on a black billionaire (Thalmus Rasulala, BUCKTOWN) and the murder of one of her friends. Friday teams with detective Colt Hawkins (Yaphet Kotto, "Homicide: Life on the Streets") to get to the bottom of the "Black Widow" conspiracy. It's a plot by Thurston Howell III to assassinate the top leaders in the black community. One of the more progressive blaxploitation films, with feminist and black unity themes.
