Hereβs a Shep for you as a Christmas present.
Musical Interlude: Jean Shepherd (no, not THAT Jean Shepherd, this is another one) was perhaps country music's first significant female performer, who influenced later performers like Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Tammy Wynette. Her career started in the early 50s and she spun out hits into the 70s, when the rise of more pop-influenced country music left her style behind. She passed on in 2016 but interest in her music is being revived with a new generation of fans of old-school country. (My dad thought country music sold its soul to the devil when they allowed drums on stage at the Grand Ole Opry....)
"Jeopardy," performed by Jean Shepherd.
