-Vocabulary: There isn't "fixed phrases and compounds" in toki pona. This is a common thing in learners too, there are some common examples of how compounding works in the learning resources and people tend to think they're fixed compounds or literal translations. They aren't. jan pona doesn't mean friend, it means good person. It's just that toki pona defines the english word "friend" as a good person, but it doesn't work the other way around. You can't have a list of compounds with direct translations because it doesn't work that way. jan pona could also mean medic, cleaner, fixer or simply a person that is good but not your friend. You can say friend as jan olin, jan mama, jan poka or jan toki too, each carrying different nuances in different contexts: A person you respect, a person that cares for you, a person who's always by your side, a person you enjoy talking to.

Created a topic for all who have any difficulties when translating and toki pona and when compiled on it meaningful phrases.
I will begin, as they say, with myself.
A friend on the currents on pon - jan pona (good man)
The enemy is jan ike (bad man)
How to translate the phrase "He is a bad man, but my friend" so that there is no mutually exclusive?
I got it: "Ona li jan ike, taso ona li jan pona mi".

Создалъ тему для всѣхъ, у кого возникаютъ какія-либо трудности при переводѣ на и съ toki pona и при составленіи на ней осмысленныхъ фразъ.
Начну, какъ говорится, съ себя.
Другъ на токи пона - jan pona (хорошій человѣкъ)
Врагъ - jan ike (плохой человѣкъ)
Какъ перевести фразу «Онъ плохой человѣкъ, но мой другъ» такъ, чтобы не было взаимоисключаемости?
У меня вышло такъ: «Ona li jan ike, taso ona li jan pona mi».
