No, it wasn't a miracle. It cost thousands of lives and billions of dollars to save those 379 passengers. Lessons well learnt and money well spent.

Whilst the investigation into #JAL516 may take months, two things are immediately clear:
1. The cabin crew deserve commendations for an incredibly effective evacuation.
2. Airbus structural staff did a hell of a job with that fuselage.

Whatever the causes may turn out to be those two factors saved hundreds of lives.
