Dieses mal nehmen wir euch mit auf die zweite Etappe unserer Wanderung auf dem Camino Invierno. Von Villavieja geht es nach Puente de Domingo Flórez – eine Etappe voller Geschichte und spektakulärer Landschaften.

Unterwegs passieren wir die beeindruckende Castillo de Cornatel und durchqueren die faszinierende Kulturlandschaft von Las Médulas. Die einst größte Goldmine des Römischen Reiches wurde durch menschliche Ingenieurskunst geschaffen und zählt heute zu den außergewöhnlichsten Landschaften Spaniens. Teile des Gebietes wurden im August 2025 von einem schweren Waldbrand betroffen.
Ob es meine absolute Lieblingsetappe war, kann ich gar nicht sicher sagen. Aber sie war definitiv einer der Hauptgründe, warum ich den Camino Invierno unbedingt gehen wollte.

Als ich zum ersten Mal Bilder der leuchtend roten Felsen von Las Médulas gesehen habe, stand für mich fest: Diesen Weg muss ich irgendwann selbst erleben.

#braunschweig #tagderniedersachsen habe mich dann doch aufgerafft und bin in die Stadt geradelt. Am Staatstheater vorbei und habe das Fahrrad oberhalb vom Magniviertel abgestellt. Erst mal bin ich bis zur Kirche runtergeschlendert aber da war Nix dolles. Besser war es dann rund um den Löwenwallpark. Vor dem städtische Museum hatte ich dann ein interessantes Gespräch am Stand des Braunschweiger Jacobwegs. #jakobsweg #pilgern

das gesamte Material zu sichten und bereits einige Videos auf YouTube veröffentlicht habe, möchte ich nun auch hier ein paar Eindrücke mit euch teilen. Den Anfang macht Ponferrada – der Startpunkt unserer Camino-Invierno-Wanderung, den wir vor dem Aufbruch ausgiebig erkundet haben.
