And now to my favorite Aussie politician, Jacinta 'Jumpishippa' Price, who is proving a major embarrassment for her recently adopted party, the LNP. She set the cat among the pigeons by claiming (without evidence) that Labor is favouring immigrants from India because they vote Labor. Apparently she is unaware of the Nationals-linked Sikh community on the NSW north coast. She also seems unaware that the Libs really need the votes of immigrant communities to regain power. Neither she nor party leader Sussan Ley has apologised, as fellow Liberals bring out their 40-foot poles to keep her at a distance and try to sweet-talk Indian communities. Her leadership running-mate Angus 'Good Job' Taylor is silent. But Jacinta, unbowed, has returned fire, accusing Liberal Alex Hawke of 'berating' her staff and persecuting women in a phone call. ps i do NOT have a problem with welcomes to country.
i DO have a problem with having to endure symbolic and hollow christian prayer in secular settings

why is this numpty’s photo everywhere this week? if she thinks she can bump porlean hanson from the number one spot as defender of the flag, maybe she should read how market-positioning works… cos she ain’t got buckley’s

further, i’d like to know why editors are choosing photos taken from below, like the photo in today’s abc newsletter, so the camera is “looking up” at her? i do wish they would just stop it

Don't believe a word of this "united leadership team" spin.

Jacinta Price and Angus Taylor will make a toxic blend of corruption and cronyism at the top of the Liberal party. For "return to roots" read "move to hard Right".

JNP is clearly in the pocket of some very wealthy hard Right players, Liberal and National, and is in this for herself and not the citizens of Australia. She will do their bidding. Her wearing the MAGA hat was was no error of judgement.

AT is just a man who happened to be the only one left standing in the room - and not a very clever one at that.
