Men giving women flowers on International Women's Day in Germany has always been A Thing™ but judging by this post from a right-wing CDU politician it seems to be becoming A Culture War Thing™. This is, I think, an improvement. It means more people are understanding the day as being about rights and not flowers and of course for the right-wing it's far more preferable to give flowers. #IWD2023 #WeltFrauenTag
