In all seriousness, the overreach of the current administration has been, and will continue to be, an embarrassment for any rational and empathetic person. This latest attempt at using Portland as a pawn in his political theater is brazen and directly countering his historical claims on states rights, not to even touch on the moral failings of recent decisions. This administration subjugates and vilifies based on the color of one’s skin, and/or one’s financial standing, all for the goal of “making America great again”. This is textbook manipulation of power by identifying an “other” for the populous to fear. America is a land of immigrants built on stolen land. Anything less than fully accepting and reconciling that is deluding one’s self. In time’s like these we need to lean into our communities in all it’s diversity and differences ❤️
