Dear fediverse programmers!
I use misskey, I see a poll! I vote because I like the question and I have an opinion.
After I vote it says: "1 votes in total"
I check the replies, others have voted. I want to see the result.
I see the following message at the top:
"As this user is from a remote instance, the shown information may be incomplete.View on remote instance"
OK, I click on the link to see the result. Which is on a mastodon instance.
But it looks like I can't see the result if I don't have a mastodon account?
How is that? Is it something I am missing, or is it just the famous decentralized fediverse in action, where you have to have account in every software (mastodon, pleroma, misskey, etc.), just to see a simple poll result?
I am not even sure my vote is counted in this. I am really confused.
#fediverse #polls #decentralized #isthisthingworking #freedom #softwarefreedom #floss
And we are wondering why there are no more users here... it's because this bloody thing is confusing and complicated to use.
Mind you, I am using computers and the internet since the mid 1990s, and while I am not a programmer, I have certainly more computer knowledge than the average user.
Can you guys make this thing work, a little bit more simpler? Maybe? Just a tiny bit. Can I see the results of a poll?
Thank you!
