Immaginate che un Iran liberato si impegnerebbe immediatamente a riportare la stabilità regionale, a collaborare con i propri Paesi vicini, con gli israeliani e con i sauditi. Non dovrete più fare attività di polizia nel Medio Oriente perché a quel punto si apriranno le porte anche a opportunità economiche, a una prosperità. Qualcosa che porterà quindi a un mondo più stabile”. Lo ha dichiarato il principe Reza Ciro Pahlavi, figlio dello scià deposto dalla rivoluzione del 1979, durante un incontro ieri organizzato presso il Centro studi americani di Roma, in occasione della sua visita in Italia.

LA NOTIZIA: La scuola ai tempi dell’occupazione

Ieri mattina i bambini di Umm al-Khair, a Masafer Yatta, Cisgiordania occupata, tornavano a scuola per la prima volta dopo quarantaquattro giorni. Le lezioni erano sospese dal 28 febbraio, data di inizio delle operazioni statunitensi e israeliane contro l’Iran. Durante la notte i coloni di Carmel avevano steso filo spinato sull’unica strada che porta alle aule. Si sono seduti davanti al filo spinato e hanno tenuto lezione all’aperto.
Le forze israeliane hanno sparato granate lacrimogene e stordenti. Sarah Al-Hathaleen, dodici anni, ha detto ad AFP: «Mi hanno lanciato una granata. Ho avuto paura e sono corsa via. Ho cominciato a piangere.» Rashid Al-Hathaleen, undici anni: «Stanotte eravamo eccitatissimi per la scuola. Gli israeliani hanno chiuso la strada con il filo spinato. Vogliamo tornare a scuola.»
L’esercito israeliano ha comunicato ad AFP di aver «disperso un raduno insolito di palestinesi», precisando che «non sono stati riportati feriti». Le riprese di AFP documentano il lancio dei candelotti. La formula trasforma bambini seduti in soggetti da disperdere.
Bassam Jabr, direttore dell’istruzione di Masafer Yatta, ha dichiarato: «I coloni cercano di stringerci il nodo al collo in ogni modo. Uno di questi metodi è tagliare la strada agli studenti mentre espandono l’insediamento.» Nella Cisgiordania occupata vivono oltre cinquecentomila israeliani in insediamenti che il diritto internazionale definisce illegali.
La Global Sumud Flotilla è in mare dal 12 aprile: settanta imbarcazioni, tremila partecipanti da cento paesi, il doppio della flotta intercettata nel settembre 2025. Il portavoce Pablo Castilla ha dichiarato che l’attenzione internazionale su Gaza è calata dall’inizio della guerra all’Iran. L’esercito israeliano ha scritto: «non sono stati riportati feriti».

School during the occupation

Yesterday morning, the children of Umm al-Khair, in Masafer Yatta, Occupied Palestinian Territories, were returning to school for the first time after forty-four days. Lessons had been suspended since February 28, the date of the start of the U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran. During the night, the Carmel settlers had laid barbed wire on the only road leading to the classrooms. They sat in front of the barbed wire and held lessons outdoors.

Israeli forces fired tear gas and stun grenades. Sarah Al-Hathaleen, twelve years old, told AFP: “They threw a grenade at me. I was scared and ran away. I started to cry.” Rashid Al-Hathaleen, eleven years old: “Last night we were so excited about school. The Israelis closed the road with barbed wire. We want to go back to school.”

The Israeli military told AFP that it had “dispersed an unusual gathering of Palestinians,” stating that “no injuries were reported.” AFP’s footage documents the throwing of the grenades. The formula transforms seated children into subjects to disperse.

Bassam Jabr, Director of Education in Masafer Yatta, stated: “The settlers are trying to tighten the noose around our necks in every way. One of these methods is cutting off the road to students while expanding the settlement.” More than five hundred thousand Israelis live in settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories that international law defines as illegal.

The Global Sumud Flotilla has been at sea since April 12: seventy vessels, three thousand participants from one hundred countries, twice the fleet intercepted in September 2025. Spokesperson Pablo Castilla stated that international attention on Gaza has decreased since the beginning of the war with Iran. The Israeli military wrote: “No injuries were reported.”

Circa due terzi sono a favore della prosecuzione del conflitto e contrari a qualunque estensione del precario cessate il fuoco concordato nei giorni scorsi dagli Usa con l’Iran attraverso la mediazione pachistana. Lo rivela un nuovo sondaggio, realizzato dall’Università Ebraica di Gerusalemme e ripreso da vari media britannici tra cui il Guardian online. Stando alla rilevazione, il 61% pensa in particolare che il governo di Benyamin Netanyahu debba continuare a colpire il Libano, come sta facendo. Mentre in relazione agli attacchi diretti dell’Idf contro l’Iran ritiene che la tregua non vada ampliata oltre le due settimane concordate. Non solo: un 39% va persino oltre la posizione dell’esecutivo di ultradestra di Netanyahu e ritiene che Israele non debba rispettare neppure il cessate il fuoco temporaneo annunciato dall’alleato americano nei confronti della Repubblica Islamica, contro un 41% favorevole ad aspettare almeno il termine di due settimane e un 19% di incerti. Questo sondaggio è stato il primo condotto a livello nazionale tra gli israeliani dopo che Stati Uniti e Iran hanno concordato la scorsa settimana un cessate il fuoco di due settimane mediato dal Pakistan.

What do Israelis want, peace or war? Approximately two-thirds are in favor of continuing the conflict and opposed to any extension of the fragile ceasefire agreed upon in the recent days by the US with Iran through Pakistani mediation. This is revealed by a new survey, conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and reported by various British media outlets including Guardian online. According to the findings, 61% believes in particular that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu must continue to strike Lebanon, as it is doing. While regarding the direct attacks of the IDF against Iran, it believes that the truce should not be extended beyond the two weeks agreed upon. Not only that: 39% even goes further than the position of the ultralright executive of Netanyahu and believes that Israel should not even respect the temporary ceasefire announced by the American ally towards the Islamic Republic, against 41% favorable to waiting at least the end of two weeks and 19% uncertain. This survey was the first conducted at the national level among Israelis after the United States and Iran had agreed last week on a two-week ceasefire mediated by Pakistan.
